Recipe makes about 2 cups of frosting. If not too much sampling has gone on, you should be able to completely frost two 8- or 9-inch cake layers or the top of one 10×9-inch cake. If frosting our Ultimate Angel Food Cake, this will frost one cake completely with a tad left over to sample. Extra bonus! Yay!

We hope you enjoy this recipe from the recipe box of the Homesteading Hen.

YUM! Angelfood cake is one of my favs! I’m not a huge chocolate fan, but this sounds super tasty!

Thanks! I enjoy Angel Food Cake most often with whip cream and berries as well. In this case though it was a family member request for the cake with chocolate frosting, and so I doubled up and used it for the blog as well. 😉 #lifeofabusymom

This looks amazing and the recipe is quite similar to what my grandmother made! Can confirm that it makes a nice and creamy, chocolate frosting! 🙂

This is a really simple recipe for making fudge frosting. We don’t have prepackage frosting here in Japan like they do in the US, so this recipe is helpful!

Healthier when make it yourself, it is always nice knowing what is in your food and how much. American food is often over processed and over packaged sadly. Enjoy the recipe!
