Questions with Kids: 8 Kids and Their Favorite Garden Friends.
Gardening with kids helps them not only learn valuable skills that will last forever, but can also be very beneficial to their health and creativity. Helping children expand their knowledge of the world around them, as well as teaching responsibility and patience. Involving kids in the garden can help them cultivate healthy eating habits as they make great memories, learning where their food comes from. A little earlier this summer we decided to go visit some of these incredibly talented little farmers and find out what they love about being in the soil.
Gardener 1
Our first young gardener we interviewed comes from a long line of organic gardeners and is age 7. He has been helping in his family garden as well as growing his own small plot for as long as he can remember. He enjoys creating a garden that offers more then just a space for growing but a true oasis for the young and old, animal and human alike.

Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed our post on gardening with kids, it was a fun one to create for sure! Happy to hear you and your kids enjoy gardening too! My kids love growing all the old heirloom varieties and trying out different colored vegetables. There are so many beneficial things kids can learn from being raised knowing how to garden.

We bought a house this year with a nice backyard. And I started a small garden mostly because wanted for my 4-year-old a thing or two about gardening. He’s been so enthusiastic the whole time helping me with everything. And plus we’re getting some really nice organic vegetables. Gardening is such a great activity for kids.

That’s awesome, I’m glad you have been able to teach organic gardening to him! It is so beneficial to young children to get them outdoors and learning about where our food comes from. Sounds like you are having a great garden season as well. Happy gardening!
